I had expected to be able to learn new technologies while working, which was met.

I always viewed internship as an opportunity to gain real-life exposure, grow my knowledge, and determine whether I am in the right career path. Luckily, Starlink helped me gain all that knowledge and experience, and now I cannot wait to apply them in the future. Not only did we as interns get to put in practice what we had learnt in University, but also we had the chance to learn so much more, with the help and guidance of our mentors. I was expecting to work at the office itself and working in a team with a superior where I would experience a proper training & guidance.

Learning through live practice and working with a team

I thought I was going to put into practice what I have learnt at Polytechnics but at Starlink, I learnt something completely new. It was a continuous learning process through out the whole internship.

The internship included many responsibilities necessary to run a business. Leaders of this company are experienced professionals with a strong desire and willingness to mentor and help interns by passing on their experience.

At start I did not know anything, but after joining Starlink, I got the opportunity to learn on new technologies, expertise, working environment. I expect to learn practical application on whatever I have learned theoretically in university. To have a more wide coverage of the world of work and practices. To have the ability to use my knowledge and expertise in web developing.

Here at Starlink, I was given the opportunity to Learn WordPress, customization of plugins, and lots. My 15-weeks journey has been very enriching.

I did not have much expectations before starting internships except for maybe being an assistant and probably not doing work that would challenge me since I will be only an intern. However my trainee at Starlink gave me a lot to learn about and things that made grow as an employee and personally. It was also a very motivating atmosphere to be around even if we were working at home.

Friendly atmosphere, with guidelines to proceed with tasks. Work in team, meet new people and learn new things for my internship. Gain work experience. Learn how work is done and delivered by professionals in real projects.

At Starlink Business Solution Ltd I got the opportunity to acknowledge about some parts of Web Development. For instance, use of WordPress and working on real e commerce projects. I can say that this internship has helped me a lot in developing my core skills.

My expectation was to learn something new which I accomplished while doing my internship at Starlink.

I wanted to get an insight how the work environment is like working under pressure and working on different projects weeks after weeks. Starlink Business Solution LTD has provided me adequate opportunities for myself to get better at what I am studying which is Computer Science. Fun, Interesting and profitable

I started this internship in hope of learning about the work environment and put my degree into practice. And to my delight, I learnt more than I expected. The learning experience was amazing and in many ways, it prepared me to be more strong and decisive when it comes to my work.

At Starlink, for me the internship was a great experience. It helped me know about myself, my potential as an IT student and where to situate myself in the job market right now. As a student and intern, I got the chance to be on the research team for a new website and do IT support tasks. I am thankful to Starlink members for their guidance and constant support. Being an intern at Starlink Business Solution was fun.

This internship was very fruitful and did meet my expectations, as I had the opportunity to apply acquired knowledge to real work experiences, witnessing the daily duties that I can expect to encounter in my chosen field. Through my internship, I had developed communication skills among my colleagues, learned how to work in a team and how to build a team spirit to be able to accomplish our daily tasks given. I had the opportunity to learn new things which was a great experience for me.

My internship at Starlink Business Solution was a great learning experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. My tasks included Website development, web design, website deployment, plugin development, ERP, SEO learning amongst others. Not only did the experience let me apply my knowledge on current problems and beyond, it also gave me a firsthand look into how a web developer work in the process of making website using several technologies. The close mentoring and assistance from the director and employees at Starlink was also a highlight of my experience. Most importantly, the internship has given me a better outlook into what I would want to pursue in the future.

To have real working experience in daily life

Hello, I'm from Polytechnic Mauritius Réduit Campus. As per the course schedule, an internship is mandatory for completion of the course. I have been looking in some companies but in vain. Then with the help of Polytechnic, I got the opportunity to do my internship at Starlink Business Solution ltd. Starlink Business Solution was the best company I could ever find for an internship. It offers supervised and guided training as compared to other. You will pass through the complete “Learn-Only” phase then you will start working under supervision. The company’s environment offers you a real work condition that you will forget you are an intern. If you are an IT student who really want to be successful in IT, Starlink Business Solutions is a great company to earn experience and develop new skills.

To have a real experience in the working field.

I thought I would learn new things about the work environment and gain more experience in the IT domain. Starlink proved to have fulfilled those expectations.

I thought the internship will in office but Covid- 19 had other ideas. My expectations was I wanted to learn new skills that would help me further.

From my point of view, an ideal internship is a progressively challenging working experience which Starlink has provided. For instance, I have got solid orientation, supervision and feedback from Starlink. Thanks to them, I have got the great opportunity to learn valuable work skills, expand my knowledge in web development and explore my career options.

Earlier, I thought an internship is usually very stressful but at Starlink I gained work experience and guided mentorship which have helped me a lot to understand how a company works and how I can prepare myself to work with more efficiency. It was a very productive internship from which I learnt many skills which will be very beneficial for me in the future.

My expectation was to meet with other employees and to work together on tasks but with the number of students it was understandable that this was not achievable and the experience acquired was very valuable and it was a similar environment to our university which gave us familiarity and ease of work which at the end of the day i was very satisfied with the internship and if I was asked to do it again I would have applied to Starlink again without hesitation.

Improving my Skills on Web Development

It was a great experience. I consider myself as a very lucky individual as I was provided with an opportunity to be part of the Starlink family. I am also grateful for having a chance to meet so many wonderful people and specially Miss Lakshi Meghoo,the director who led me through this internship period. She as a person is truly amazing and very supportive. She made me realized my strength and my hidden abilities. I would like to convey my heartiest thanks to Miss Lakshi Meghoo who in spite of being extraordinarily busy with her duties, took time out to hear, guide and keep me on the correct path and allowed me to participate in different projects at their esteemed organization.

My expectations for having an internship was getting to learn other technologies and platforms which were not taught in uni. During my internship, i'm glad that i did learn more on website development using WordPress and Elementor editor.

At first, I was looking for internship in order to know what can be expected in future job environment. It has been a great moment & experience with the members of Starlink. I have learnt a lot from them especially in regards, we as interns what should have or should be viewed in order to carry out tasks easily. For me, I have experienced numerous changes in behavior and way of thinking (critical thinking).

I expected to gain skills and experience. Eventually, I gained all these things at Starlink.

I thought everything had to be made from Scratch at first, but starting work at Starlink gave me insight that nowadays not everything is made from scratch. Prebuilt systems are there, they will save money and time. That was interesting, from a efficiency perspective.

I was expecting to learn about building websites and work as a team with Starlink, and also develop myself at my workplace and learn how to cope with everyday tasks.

It was an amazing experience to learn and work with the team.

Gained a lot of experience and knowledge.

At the start, I was looking forward to gaining both knowledge and expertise for a future prospective career in the IT field through the company’s training. The internship as expected provided me with the working experience to refine the skills and apply the knowledge I have learnt in classes. It indeed gave me opportunities to work with dedicated professionals at your organization.

I was expecting to complete works that will be beneficial for the organization and in return, have the opportunity to sharpen my existing skills and develop new skills. I can firmly say that my expectations became the outcome of this internship.

To help me enhance my set of skills in the IT Sector.

I thought that the internship will provide me with working experience, learning new skills, explore a career path and put into practice skills that I learnt at the university.

The internship experience went far better than expected. It was fun and exciting and hopefully a glimpse of what to expect further down the path of my career. I had the opportunity to work with an awesome group of people who were very helpful and encouraging. We were given the autonomy of working out our tasks at our own pace and to seek help when needed. I had the chance to learn to work on new technologies other than what was learnt in class to build robust web applications.

I had an idea that the internship would provide me the experience to work on real projects and it so happened. I faced numerous challenges and the leaders helped me overcome them.

Good work experience.

An internship would give me an overview of how industries are and what I should be expecting when I will be working in a few years time. This was indeed the case with Starlink. I did applied the things I learnt. Now I know what's waiting for me in the future. Starlink did their best to shape us and we acquired lots of skills. I wholeheartedly thank the company for everything!

Learn new things that can help me in the future.

Working from home was a great experience, despite the fact that I had expected us to be in the office. Covid wins tho! I intended to learn something new, which I did, such as how to use WordPress and Elementor. I learned how to design and send email newsletters. I also acquired about SEO, including what it is, how to implement it, and where to use it. I'd always looked at things from the client's perspective, but now I understand how things function behind the scenes. I was also able to assist other interns who had joined after me. Finally, I'd would like to express my gratitude to Starlink members as well as interns in my workgroup. Mrs. Nidhi Mauree, who mentored us throughout the internship, deserves special mention.

I gained many insightful knowledge and experience according to my field of studies as well as some must to have basic skills of work.

I expect an internship to guide me and provide me an insight into a real working experience. Being in the digital marketing field, I expected Starlink to give me opportunities to build on my skills and develop problem solving abilities.

I wanted to gain knowledge in the field of Digital Marketing. Indeed it was successful, I was able to expertise my skills and to learn new aspects as well.

I was able to experience the work environment of an IT passionate.

The internship at Starlink was an enriching experience. My expectations were to improve my interpersonal and technical skills which I have accomplished. I had the opportunity to learn about new technologies. Also, the soft skills sessions were very beneficial. Most importantly, this internship has given me an insight for the future encounters of professionalism in the field of work.

To get an overview about the working world and how to work in a team. For Starlink to teach us their working ethics and to be part of their team.

It was a great experience where I learned a lot of new things through amazing mentors and colleagues. Definitely gonna help me a lot in the near future.

It went more or less how i thought it would be. For me an internship would have been an opportunity to learn new stuffs and also get a knowledge on how it is at the workplace. At starlink I can say that both of these areas have been fulfilled.

I thought I would work under a senior member of staff that will help/advise us on the work I do. I wanted to work primarily in web development and contribute to a real project. I wanted to know more about what a client expected from his/her website and how to approach developing it. I also wanted to know more about how to collaborate in teams to work more efficiently.

Learn new things.

I expected to put my academic learning into practice. I was able to do so at Starlink as my skills were tested, shaped and improved.

At the beginning of my traineeship, all was blurred as I am from an accounting background and I was entering an IT company. However, as I worked along and gained experience in the company, I gained knowledge that has broadened my skills which in return will help in my career later.

I never thought I would learn so many things within a short space of time. I've gained much experience from the company and it was fruitful.

I thought that it would be very immersive in the given job title, but it was multi-faceted where I learnt a lot of things.

Gaining more onsight knowledge as a marketer.

Starlink had fulfilled all my expectations I had. It is as much of a learning experience as it is work. It was one of the best experience I had there where I learned a lot about the company a lot.

Before starting my internship, I expected to learn new things that the working world would need from me and during my internship at Starlink, I can say that my expectations were met. In addition of learning new tools, I seem to have become a more punctual human being which honestly was a weak point of mine. I am very grateful for the knowledge I have acquired.

I always wanted to have an internship that is learner-centered, and where I could enhance my technical, interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. I can say that at Starlink Business Solutions Ltd my expectations and objectives have been achieved.

I thought I was going to improve my skill and a bit scared of the work environment but the experience exceeded any of my expectations, the mentors were kind and ready to assist us, the team members I had were very friendly and helpful.

Get the opportunity to work alongside a company and see what is expected from an IT graduate in a workplace. Gaining experience in terms of website development and understanding the dynamics present in the workplace compared to academic infrastructures. Expanding my skill set as well as knowledge by working under professionals. Developing my communication and collaboration skills by working in groups to complete given tasks or projects. Understand the different roles assigned in such an industry. Developing my leadership skills by being put in charge of groups or projects. Elevating my web development skills by learning how to not only create but also edit website according to the customer's requirements. Developing soft skills such as conflict solving, listening skills and writing professionally for websites.

I intend to get academic experience through an internship that includes deliberate learning goals and measurable results. I develop some personal qualities at Starlink, like teamwork, self-confidence, and decision-making. Working on live website projects helps me strengthen my development skills as well.

As an intern, I thought that this interning opportunity would be a career call where I would learn about new technologies and define my career path. At Starlink Business Solution Ltd, I expected to learn about new web technologies and refine my web development knowledge which was indeed the case.

This internship was an incredible opportunity to enhance my career prospects because of the chance to work with such passionate and very talented individuals. The company has certainly provided me with valuable experience, and it was an excellent platform for me to showcase my abilities and apply my technical skills.
