Course Description

This course is designed to give you a preview of what professional web development work is like. Level 1 Develop forms, website and blogs using various web technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Level 2 Learn how to fetch content from the back-end server asynchronously, without a page refresh and update the content of a web page without reloading it. Moreover, you can learn on the use of jQuery, PHP, XML and basic of SQL and the application of each of the following in a web page. Level 3 Learn advanced PHP such as sessions, PHP 5 cookies and file manipulation. In advanced SQL other operators such as union, intersect, limits, trim and concatenate will be tutored. You will also learn on Bootstrap and other function associated with it. Level 4 Learn about the CMS packages such as Drupal, Prestashop and WordPress and how to use each of the following. Level 5 Customisation of CMS packages and override. Learn to create custom modules, fields and filters to create and develop well- structured, well-maintained web pages. Learn to add custom features to content and optimize layouts.
